DUAL TOS V1.62 AND V2.06 SWITCHER FOR THE ATARI STE FROM EXXOS / CHRIS SWINSON.
This is the new STE DUAL FAST TOS switcher board. This can be used by itself to give TOS v1.62 (English) & TOS v2.06 (English) operating system versions selectable by a simple jumper link (supplied) or toggle switch (not supplied).
The boards is "FAST TOS" capable of running at 32mhz with the addition of a 32mhz STE booster board.
Carefully hand pre-assembled ready to use.
The board is designed with the original OTP ROMs (smaller) than the EPROMS which are sometimes fitted later. Either way, if you modified the 'W' jumpers then you may need to swap them back. On your board make sure W103 is linked on the PCB (middle and right pads). W104 & W102 are also linked middle and right pads.
Once all soldered in, you can place the board in the STE ROM sockets, though it needs pushing down as far as it will go. There is practically zero clearance between the bottom of the floppy drive and the metal shielding. I would recommend removing the STE ROM sockets and soldering the PCB in directly into the motherboard if you have the ability.
Caution - when installing, ensure the three header pins for the TOS jumper is not touching the bottom of the floppy drive, otherwise there may be a short out.
Option to use a switch instead by soldering to the three header pins.

Buy and install at your own risk. Although this has been tested thoroughly, you will need to undertake a certain amount of disassembling, and possible motherboard modifications (jumper settings), to successfully use the device. Also, no guarantee is made if you break any of the header pins or short out the unit. If you have knowledge and understanding, you will not have any problems. Myself and Chris Swinson (designer of the board) always supply full after sales support.
